Dr. Scott Silverstein is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience. He was honored to be named a Top Doctor in knee replacement, General Orthopedics, and Sports Medicine by Baltimore Magazine numerous times during his 15 years in the area. He sees many patients for second opinions and is always willing to figure out complex problems.

A Pittsburgh native, Dr. Silverstein earned his undergraduate degree in business from Boston University and his medical degree from the prestigious University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his internship and orthopedic surgical residency at the West Virginia University (WVU) Hospitals in Morgantown, where he performed numerous surgeries and served as their first chief resident. Dr. Silverstein was also an assistant professor on the WVU faculty after graduating and served as the education director.

Dr. Silverstein is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is affiliated with Howard County Surgery Center, Northwest Hospital, and Ellicott City Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Outside the office, Dr. Scott Silverstein enjoys weight training, travel, and spending time with his wife and twins. He successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2000, and his feet are still sore! He is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan.
