CBD for Orthopedic Pain Management

At The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland Division, we understand that living with orthopedic pain can significantly impact your quality of life. We are proud to offer Clinical CBD™ as a non-operative treatment option for pain management.

  • We have partnered with Corganics, a physician-advised Clinical CBD™ company that maintains the highest quality standards in the industry.
  • Clinical CBD™ offers a safe and effective non-operative treatment for those managing chronic pain and post-surgical pain.
  • Clinical CBD™ is available in a topical cream, oral drops, and softgels, providing fast-acting and long-lasting relief from acute and chronic orthopedic pain.

Corganics provides THC-free hemp-derived CBD that undergoes rigorous third-party testing and is available exclusively through healthcare providers like us. This partnership allows us to offer you a safe, effective, and scientifically-backed approach to managing your orthopedic pain without heavy reliance on traditional pain medications.

What are the Benefits of Using CBD for Pain Management?

Clinical CBD™ differs significantly from over-the-counter CBD products you may find at retail stores. Our Clinical CBD™ is pharmaceutical grade, rigorously tested, and administered under medical supervision and guidance to ensure optimal results for your specific condition.

The benefits of using Clinical CBD™ for orthopedic pain management include:

  • Reduced inflammation in joints, muscles, and surrounding tissues
  • Natural pain relief without the side effects commonly associated with prescription pain medications
  • Improved sleep quality by addressing pain that disrupts your rest
  • Enhanced mobility and range of motion in affected areas
  • Faster recovery times when used as part of surgical protocols
  • Non-addictive alternative to opioid-based pain management
  • Minimal side effects compared to traditional pain medications
  • Customizable treatment plans tailored to your specific needs and pain levels
  • Complementary therapy that works alongside other treatments in your care plan

How Can CBD Alleviate My Chronic Pain?

Chronic orthopedic pain affects millions of people and can stem from conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, or long-term injuries. Our Clinical CBD™ pain management protocol is designed to provide sustained relief through a multimodal treatment approach.

We recommend Corganics Clinical CBD™ as part of your comprehensive treatment regimen using one of three convenient administrations:

  • Softgels use Advanced Lipid Technology to ensure precise dosing and optimal absorption.
  • Oral drops can be placed under the tongue for breakthrough pain needing targeted, fast-acting relief.
  • Topical cream may be applied directly to affected areas for localized relief.

How Can CBD Alleviate My Surgical Pain?

Surgery can be a necessary step in treating severe orthopedic conditions, but managing post-surgical pain effectively is crucial for optimal recovery.

Our surgical protocol incorporating Corganics Clinical CBD™ has been designed to support you through every stage of the surgical process.

Before Surgery

We recommend beginning CBD softgels seven days before your procedure. This preparation helps prime your system and may contribute to better pain management outcomes. You'll take one softgel daily with food while discontinuing NSAIDs as directed.

After Surgery

Your post-surgical protocol may include multiple CBD options—including softgels, topical cream, or drops—for comprehensive pain management. This multimodal approach allows us to address different aspects of surgical pain while potentially reducing your reliance on prescription pain medications during recovery.

FAQs

What is Clinical CBD™?

Clinical CBD™ is a pharmaceutical-grade, hemp-derived cannabidiol product that is specifically formulated for medical use. Unlike retail CBD products, Clinical CBD™ undergoes rigorous testing for purity, potency, and safety. It is THC-free, meaning it won't produce any psychoactive effects, and it is only available through licensed healthcare providers.

What kind of CBD does OACM use?

The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland Division exclusively uses Corganics Clinical CBD™ products. Corganics is a physician-advised company that maintains the highest quality standards in the industry. All their products are THC-free, hemp-derived, and undergo rigorous third-party testing to ensure safety and efficacy.

What forms of CBD are available?

We offer three forms of Corganics Clinical CBD™ to meet different patient needs:

  • Softgels provide precise dosing using Advanced Lipid Technology for consistent daily pain management.
  • Drops are fast-acting oral and formulated with organic olive oil for as-needed relief.
  • Topical Cream uses a science-based formula designed for localized application to affected areas.

Is CBD for pain management right for me?

CBD may be an appropriate treatment option if you are dealing with chronic orthopedic pain, preparing for surgery, or recovering from an orthopedic procedure. However, every patient's situation is unique.

During your consultation, our dedicated team will evaluate your specific condition, medical history, and current medications to determine if Clinical CBD™ is suitable for your pain management plan.

Is CBD for pain management safe?

When administered under medical supervision and guidance, Clinical CBD™ has an excellent safety profile. Our Corganics products are THC-free, rigorously tested, and manufactured to pharmaceutical standards. Unlike many traditional pain medications, Clinical CBD™ is non-addictive and does not carry the same risks of dependency or serious side effects.

Are there any side effects of using CBD for pain management?

Most patients tolerate Clinical CBD™ very well. Some people may experience mild side effects such as drowsiness, dry mouth, or slight changes in appetite. These effects are typically minimal and often diminish as your body adjusts to the treatment.

Our team will monitor your response closely and adjust your dosing as needed to minimize any side effects while maximizing pain relief.
