I am writing to express appreciation for staff of the Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland in Columbia, Maryland who made my recent course of physical therapy a positive experience. Dan's professionalism, extensive knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to his craft gave me confidence in him and heightened my expectation of recovery. Duane's professionalism, technical skill and expertise, combined with the good humored, kind and compassionate manner he exhibited toward all of the patients, eased my nerves during my introduction into the unfamiliar world of physical therapy. His demonstrated commitment to aiding my recovery encouraged and motivated me. Every staff person I had contact with presented the same persona - pleasant, patient, helpful, caring, and attentive. I am grateful for the excellent care I received. I commend and highly recommend staff of the physical therapy unit at Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland in Columbia, Maryland.

I am writing to let you know of the good treatment I received from physical therapist Mary Beth. Her calm demeanor during a difficult time for me was very helpful. The ultimate result was a good recovery with a 127 degrees of bend in my knee. And while I have to take a little credit for that, Mary Beth was instrumental in my recovery. She is personable and knowledgeable. She inspires confidence. She made my therapy experience much better.

I began therapy on January 22, 2019 with what's commonly referred to as a "frozen shoulder". Kirsten has diligently brought me along to the point where I can now perform all of my professional and recreational activities without pain. Kirsten has that uncommon trait of being both professional and social. She strikes a balance between "pushing" her patients to new limits, and encouraging them to "follow up" with their own home exercises. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your facility (or Kirsten) to a friend in need.

"I was very pleased with the facility which was clean and well-equipped. They all knew the names of the people they were working with and seemed to be patient with everyone. I wanted to especially mention Karyn Dulaney who evaluated me and planned my program of exercises. She was very professional and her expertise evident in her work."

"I have visited this practice for two separate issues and cannot imagine receiving better care from anyone, anywhere. The first visit was for a torn tricep tendon, which required surgery. The procedure and follow-up care (including physical therapy) were perfect and I have full range of motion with no residual issues. This happened when I was 45. Recently I went back because of a minor shoulder injury. I thought it might be a rotator cuff issue. After a same-day walk in visit on a Saturday, the diagnosis was bicep tendonitis. After a couple weeks of therapy, I was fine. When I went in for the follow-up visit, the doc had clearly reviewed my entire history; he even knew how I hurt my tricep when I was 45. Everyone from the desk staff to the PAs to the doctors were first-rate and I highly recommend them."

"I feel moved to write about my MRI experience today at the Columbia office. I have had a closed MRI in the past and was thrilled to find the open MRI as an option. I was escorted back by Wendi and immediately felt comforted by her humor and positivity. I was apprehensive but thought I could handle the MRI. I was wrong. My heart started beating rapidly and I thought I needed to stop the procedure. Wendi and Pat knew just what to do. They comforted me and encouraged me through kind words of empathy. They were able to reassure me enough to continue. If it weren't for them, I don't think I would've been able to finish the much-needed MRI. I feel strongly that these women should be recognized for outstanding job performance and just plain kindness ─ two exceptional women!!"

"I have been a patient since 2012 and can't say enough great things about the physicians. Dr. Scott Silverstein repaired my torn ACL, which healed in remarkable time with no complications. Dr. Wallace treated my torn rotator cuff (following a fall) and again, it healed very well. Dr. Adams treated my late mother, a dementia patient, for a fractured wrist and showed compassion and kindness to her. Dr. Timothy Yoon was her pain management specialist (degenerative spinal issues) who worked with her for several months and was able to provide relief that her doctors at a highly rated NC-based medical center did not provide. I can't say enough good things about him. Recently, my insurance sent me to another ortho specialist outside of this group and his plan to treat my back fracture did not include aggressive treatment. I had to ask for physical therapy versus the cortisone shot he kept pushing, plus he kept asking if he needed to write a prescription for something stronger than the requested Naproxen ... not the kind of orthopedist I want. Informed my primary medical doctor that I would only see OACM from here on out. They are truly the best!"

"I've had one left should surgery and one right shoulder surgery with Dr. Adams. I had great results! I am 42 and remain very active in the gym, with my kids coaching sports, and now doing Brazilian jiujitsu. I have arthritis and so am currently seeking another successful surgery with Dr. Adams for my left knee. If you are looking to remain active in your middle to late years, I strongly recommend Dr. Adams who specializes in sports-related injuries and surgeries."

"Thank you so much Dr. DeMarco! About 3 years ago, I was suffering from extreme sacroiliac pain. I went to see many doctors and no one could help me; that was until I saw Dr. DeMarco. He performed the initial exam/visit then scheduled me for a procedure. The procedure took about 30 minutes to complete and I have been pain free ever since, which I consider a miracle! I thank God for pointing me to Dr. DeMarco who was able to rid me of the severe and debilitating pain. I will never forget Dr. DeMarco and thank him everyday. He knows his stuff and is a true professional. I recommend him to my friends all the time. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"Dr. Sydney is the absolute best!! Love his bedside manners. He genuinely cares about his patients. He made me feel more at ease this morning during my procedure than I thought I could ever be. My husband, daughter and I will continue to see him as needed and we all highly recommend him. Dr Sydney deserves 10 Stars! The staff were amazing as well."

"I have to say something about Dr. Blam. He did spine surgery on me Jan. 22, 2018 and I had nothing but EXCELLENT care. This includes before and after surgery. I don't know how anyone can give him a bad review. He cares about all his patients and does not have time to sit and talk to you about the weather. He will take all the time you need when talking about your actual pain etc. He is a Top Surgeon and takes great care of you. And I will leave my name. I am not ashamed of any review I give even if it is not a favorable review. This deserves more than 5 stars. Excellent Surgeon."

"Dr. Singh is a wonderful caring very knowledgeable specialist who goes the extra mile to make sure his patients are comfortable and that they completely understand the care that they will receive. Terrific bedside manner, patience is a virtue of his as well as his understanding of fear that patients experience when in pain. Very thorough and competent - I don't believe you will find a better Pain Management specialist anywhere. I highly recommend him. He is the best!"
~L. Romero
"I would like to commend one of your physicians: Dr. Marc Lipton. I have been seeing Dr. Lipton for several years now. His patience is astounding because I'm such a difficult case. I think that Dr. Lipton is an excellent physician and he really works with me and with my feet, which can be quite challenging. He is instrumental in keeping my feet healthy. Please commend him accordingly, he is a wonderful person and physician."

"I met Dr. Janz in 2016 when I had an arthritis issue with my fingers on both hands. He performed surgery and my hands look like new again. He has also operated on a pinched nerve in my husband’s hand. We now live in Hagerstown and still go to the Eldersburg office to see him. He is the only doctor for hands for us. He is a very caring person."
~Carol A.
"Dr. DeMarco and Emily are my HEROES! I have had debilitating sciatica pain and was only able to lay flat on my back to relieve the pain. They were able to see me every time I called for help and after two injections in my back and great care I am pain free. I highly recommend both of them!"
~Linda D.
"I had surgery with Dr. Blam. Dr. Blam did an excellent job and the surgery changed my life. I now have very little pain and its only been 3 weeks post-op. I recommend Dr. Blam for an SI joint fusion and any back issues. Dr. Blam is always professional and cares about his patients."
~Dolores Buck
"Dr. Janz repaired the tendon in my left index finger after I had a cooking accident with a knife, as well as released the carpal nerves in both my right and left hands. He did a fantastic job. Dr. Janz was very thorough in his explaining of what he was going to exactly do during the surgeries after I had my nerve test, and how long my healing time would be. I no longer have numbness in my hands or lower arms, I'm no longer dropping things because of that numbness being gone, and my left index finger works again although it still has healing to do to get full range of motion. Dr. Janz thank you for giving me my hands back. Before you, I used to get scared that I might drop my newborn because of my dropping random objects before you did my surgery. I no longer have that fear. You're the best hand specialist I've ever come across, and I'm beyond grateful to you for have the surgical talent that you have. I've already been giving your name and number out as recommendations, and I highly recommend anyone needing a hand specialist to go and see Dr. Janz. I promise you won't regret it."
